We (I) bought a Mac

My 8 year old PC was aging well, I goosed up its memory and gave it broadband. But there would be limitations on that Win 98 system. Like the time I put a memory stick in the USP port. Didn't recognize it. Hadn't existed whencomputer was made.
So, I used that as an excuse to get a new computer. After 8 years, I felt it wasn't bowing to my OC. A hip friend said, consider a Mac Mini. I did. It's OK. Not as screaming fast as PC but shit, Gates is rich enough. Steve Jobs deserves some quid for his mind.
My MSN Messager doesn't have all the functions it did on the PC. I can't video cam with my friends in Ohio....unless they have I Chat. So that's an issue. The CPU is cute. Ivory and the size of half a shoebox.
Plus the multimedia software is cool. It's funny...when I was at Evergreen years and years ago...we could imagine things, but didn't have the technology to do them. There was a product called Toaster, I think...that could do video tricks -- but required a computer the size of a room at that time to hold 30 seconds of video.
So if I can figure out how to post slideshows created from the Mac, I will let you see my visions.
We are heading over to Idaho for Labor Day. Not too bad of a drive. Thought we would take the Bug. See how that works on a road trip. Usually I do not pack light -- but this time pup is staying at puppy hotel so that is a couple square feet of fur, bed and food that doesn't have to be packed in.
